I am Nhài, a travel photographer based in Da Lat, Vietnam.
With a foundation in art and fashion, visual storytelling has always been my natural language. I once aspired to be a photojournalist, driven by a desire to capture raw, human emotion across the globe. Today, that ambition has evolved into a more intentional way of documenting travel. I have learned that the most honest stories rarely live within famous landmarks; they are found in the quiet moments and hidden corners most people overlook.
My path into blogging began not with a grand plan, but with a camera purchased in Hong Kong and a growing sense of fatigue. I was tired of the curated, repetitive imagery dominating social media and began to wonder what existed beyond the frame. What happens when you move past the “must-see” and explore without expectations?
This curiosity now drives a search for the “soul” of a place, an identity found in many different forms. I do not follow trends; I follow the feeling of a location, whether that leads to a week in a heritage resort or a night immersed in the electric rhythm of a city center. My work across Vietnam, Hong Kong, and China is a documentation of these various layers from the stillness of a village trail to the high-octane energy of modern life. By focusing on the fine details, I aim to reveal a place’s true character, documenting the experience exactly as it is, whether that moment feels serene or unapologetically intense.
